‘The Bombay Project’ is a collaboration between artists Krsna Mehta and Sangita Jindall that was launched with Good Earth, the infamous Indian equivalent of The Conran Shop earlier this year in Mumbai and Delhi.

This ten piece cushion collection is now available in the UK exclusively with www.weepapagirlchakras.com. Inspired by textile designer, Krsna Mehta's obsession with the city of Mumbai, India and was aimed in mind for his hip friends who had more contemporary taste than the usual Indian style they were surrounded with. Mehta teamed up with Sangita Jindal of 'Art India' to crerate this special limited edition collection for Good Earth.

Each cushion cover is emblazoned with black and white images of old South Mumbai landmarks such like Eros cinema, Marine Drive and Pherozeshah Mehta Road and digitally superimposes with bursts of colour in the form of contemporary objects like tubes of red lipstick or machinery. It is a form of Indian pop art very rarely seen in the West.
